An Abuja-based activist-lawyer, Barr. Nejo Myson, has written a massive letter to the Ondo State Acting Governor, His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa over unjust deprivation of OSOPADEC entitlement by the Ondo State Government.
Barr. Nejo while speaking with Coastal Renaissance correspondence, vowed to sue Ondo State Government if she fails to release OSOPADEC’s total share of the ₦70.3b oil derivation funds shared by the Federal Government to seven oil producing states. He noted the OSOPADEC would get 40% (over ₦1.1b) of the 13% (over ₦2.9b) oil derivation funds accruing to Ondo State.
“Now that President Bola Tinubu is determined to transform Nigeria, we, HUMAN rights lawyers shall join force with him to ensure proper implementation of monthly allocation and also ensure that the Governor and state government to do the right, otherwise, we will write the President and the Court to stop the allocation until they are ready to do the right thing”. Barr. Nejo said.
