The entire community and the family of the late Alayede of Ayede Ogbese, HRM Alaiyeluwa Oba Ajibola Olaleye Oluyede (Ise Oluwa II), are today celebrating what would have been his 68th birthday. The tribute honours a life defined by outstanding leadership, profound intellect, faith, and an enduring legacy.
Oba Oluyede successfully balanced multiple prominent revolutionary roles throughout his life. As the Alayede of Ayede Ogbese, his visionary traditional leadership forms an indelible chapter in the history of Ondo State.
Beyond the throne, he was a dedicated Pastor, an astute entrepreneur, and a devoted husband and father. Known for his remarkable grasp of diverse subjects, the late monarch was a gifted conversationalist
who spoke eloquently on faith, politics, history, and social issues. Alongside his intellectual depth, he possessed a vibrant, spontaneous sense of humour that brought immense joy to those around him.
As a Christian minister, faith was central to Oba Oluyede’s journey. Today, his family draws comfort from their shared faith and the promises of Scripture, expressing gratitude for his life and the timeless wisdom he imparted.
“We cannot return to the moments we shared, but we keep his story alive,” the family stated in a joint message. “At 68, his wisdom remains in the lessons we learnt, his humour lives on in our memories, and his influence continues to guide our family and community.”
The family invites friends, associates, and the public to share their memories of the monarch to ensure his legacy continues to inspire future generations.
