2023: Afolabi Iwalewa declares his MHA ambition officially in his Local Government – Irele, as constituents troop out en masse to welcome him, say he’s a tested, trusted and the best option among the aspirants
Hon. Afolabi Iwalewa, a renowned and grassroot mobiliser cum business guru, has formally declared his intention to run for the 2023 Ondo State House of Assembly, Irele Constitiency.
Afolabi made his intention known to the people of Irele, the headquarters of Irele Local Government, yesterday Sunday 13th March, 2022.
While declaring, all the entire local government executives honoured him to attend the declaration rally. The presence of all the local government executives has posed as a serious threat to other aspirants from the local government.
While giving his opening remark, the local government party chairman, Chief Z.A. Omoge spoke about the antecedents of the former MHA and confirmed his generosity and productivity.
Other Executives who attested to Afolabi’s goodwill were Dr. Omosuwa Akinbolade, the local government Secretary and Mrs. Omosowone Titi, the local government Woman leader.
No doubt, the past achievements of Afolabi have earned him wide acceptability among his people and also gave him an added advantage over other aspirants.
Moreover, the youths were in a joyful mood with him just as the youth leader, Alhaji Mohammadu Sanni a.k.a. Rondo speak on behalf of the youths and further reiterated that Afolabi is a blessing to Irele Local Government.
“Afolabi is too relevant in Irele politics to ignore his ambition. Therefore, the youth must rally round him and give him maximum support”.
“A rational being in Irele Local Government knows that the development of Irele Local Government is the priority and major concern of Hon. Afolabi Iwalewa. The man – Afolabi has uncontrollable passion for the development of Irele land and he had established it in the past. So, we have no doubt about his good representation”.
