63rd Independence Anniversary: Ondo Tantita Commander, Asonja calls for nation building, says Nigeria must remain an indivisible entity

Ondo State Coordinator of Tantita Security Services, Senior High Chief Asonja Idowu, has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the nation’s 63rd independence anniversary, called for national unity, nation building and concerted effort towards ensuring Nigeria remains an indivisible entity.
Senior High Chief Asonja in a release made available to Coastal Renaissance personally signed, identifies nation-building as the greatest challenge facing the country at this present time because Nigerians still need to improve the way they relate to one another, adding that there is urgent need for the people to begin to see themselves first as Nigerians, rather than one ethnic group or the other, stating that the future of the country lies in its ability to achieve better security, unity and peace, while urging people in position of authority to show good example to their followers. He opines that country’s security and peace would be much easier to attain if leaders at all levels allow justice and fair play to govern their actions. He states that when people believe in the fairness of their leaders, they would be ready to do everything within their power to protect their fatherland.
He then assured the Federal Government of Tantita’s commitment and determination to protect and secure crude oil pipelines along the coast line towards achieving steady economic stability for the country. He further reiterated that Tantita Security Network shall always protect the interest of the federal government without compromising its vision and mission in ensuring that the nation’s crude oil pipelines are safeguarded from being vandalised by the oil thefts and bunkers.
While speaking, he thanked and appreciated the pathfinder of Tantita Security Services, Government Ekpemupolo, fondly called Tompolo, for his proactive leadership sytle by placing the nation’s interest above his personal pursuits.
Senior High Chief Asonja notes that at a critical time like this, prayers and unity of purpose will help for progress, tasked Nigerians to continue working hard to realise the mission and vision of the country’s founding fathers, who fought for the country to become what it is today.
“As we mark our country’s 63rd Independence Anniversary, we must remain steadfast, united and prayerful for our country to remain one and overcome her challenges, especially, in terms of insecurity.
“It is also incumbent on us as citizens to pray for our national, state and local leaders so that God Almighty will continue to guide and lead them rightly. Let’s all work together as one people.
“In the face of some of the challenges confronting us as a nation, we have no choice but to work hard to overcome our challenges. But we need the support of the citizens to achieve that,” Asonja said
