…Ajulo describes the OSOPADEC Boss as a seasoned political strategist, community-focused leader and public servant with a strong understanding of grassroots engagement.

Alpha 3D Limited has honoured the Executive Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), Pastor Prince Biyi Poroye, for his outstanding contributions and effective service delivery during his time as a Director of the company.

The recognition was conveyed at a dinner organised in his honour, where the Ondo State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN, OON, FCIArb (UK), described Poroye as a seasoned political strategist, community-focused leader and public servant with a strong understanding of grassroots engagement.

Represented at the event by the Acting Solicitor-General of the state, Ajulo, in remarks delivered on his behalf, commended Alpha 3D Limited for recognising Poroye’s contributions and celebrating his transition into public service.

He noted that Poroye’s appointment to head OSOPADEC represented both an honour and a significant responsibility, particularly because of the commission’s importance to oil-producing communities across Ondo State.

According to him, OSOPADEC represents more than a government agency to the people of the oil-producing areas, as it embodies their expectations for infrastructure, development, economic opportunities and improved quality of life.

Ajulo urged Poroye to make his tenure at OSOPADEC one that would be defined by tangible transformation rather than merely the management of existing structures.
“Let the communities say that you saw them. Let them say that you listened. Let them say that you came, you understood and you acted,” he said.
The Attorney-General further charged the OSOPADEC chairman to pursue initiatives whose impact would remain visible in the lives of the people long after his tenure.
He also commended Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for entrusting Poroye with the responsibility, describing appointments to public office as fundamentally rooted in confidence and trust.
Ajulo said Governor Aiyedatiwa had demonstrated a willingness to support initiatives that could strengthen the state and improve the welfare of its citizens.
He also highlighted Poroye’s experience in grassroots politics and public engagement, noting that his understanding of the political terrain had distinguished him over the years.
The Attorney-General observed that effective politics and governance required engagement with the people at the grassroots, adding that leadership could not be successfully practised from the comfort of a drawing room.
Beyond the celebration of Poroye, Ajulo used the occasion to call on Alpha 3D Limited and other private sector players to deepen their partnership with the Ondo State Government.
He particularly appealed to the company’s Chairman, Captain Bello Saka Oludare, whom he described as a big brother, adviser and long-standing professional associate, to bring his experience in enterprise and development to bear on Ondo State.
Ajulo recalled that his relationship with Oludare dates back more than two decades to the early stages of his legal career.
He acknowledged Oludare’s contributions to the development of Abuja and his service as Captain of the IBB International Golf & Country Club, while urging him to extend his developmental efforts to Ondo State.
“Capt. Bello, you have helped build Abuja. Please come and help us build Ondo,” Ajulo said.
He stressed that Ondo State possesses the land, human resources, talent and investment opportunities required for sustainable development, adding that the state government remained receptive to genuine and constructive ideas capable of advancing the state’s development.
Ajulo said the government needed private companies that would see themselves not merely as businesses operating in Ondo State, but as partners in its development.
“We need investment. We need infrastructure. We need jobs. We need innovation,” he said, urging companies to embrace a shared responsibility for improving the communities in which they operate.
The dinner also provided an opportunity to celebrate Poroye’s contribution to Alpha 3D Limited, where he previously served as a Director.
The company’s decision to honour him underscored the value it placed on his service, institutional contribution and relationship with the organisation.
Ajulo praised the company for creating a culture in which professional relationships, service and contributions to the wider community are recognised.
He urged Alpha 3D to sustain the initiative and continue supporting development-oriented partnerships within Ondo State.
In his closing remarks, Ajulo congratulated Poroye on his new responsibility and expressed optimism that his tenure would be defined by service, wisdom and measurable impact.
He said the ultimate measure of public office should not be the position occupied but the lives touched and institutions strengthened.
“Public office is temporary, but the footprints we leave in the lives of people can be permanent,” he said.
He wished Poroye success in his tenure and prayed that the people of Ondo State’s oil-producing communities would experience meaningful improvements under his leadership.
The event ended with goodwill messages and expressions of support for Poroye as he continues his service to Ondo State.
