Encomiums As Ondo APC Chieftain, Akintokun Buries Mother In-law, Esther Oyetan In Grand Style

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC and legal practitioner, Barr. Lawson Akintokun, alongside his wife, on Saturday, laid to eternal rest, his mother in-law; Late Princess Esther Ajirewasokan Oyetan nee Omotoye.


Dignitaries from within and outside Ondo state joined Barr. Lawson Akintokun to bid his mother in-law; Late Princess Esther Oyetan goodnight.
Mama Esther Oyetan nee Omotoye was a devoted Jehovah Witness, passed away on 26th of April, 2024 at the age of 83 years, buried on Saturday 3rd August, 2024.

Shortly before her interment, her body left St. Peter’s hospital, Okititpupa to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, Neri street opposite Akinloye estate, behind J Mobile filling station, Okitipupa for funeral discuss as her body was put to rest at her residence, Oyetan close, off Neri Street, Okitipupa, Ondo State, Nigeria.
Barr. Akintokun while speaking with Coastal Renaissance News, described the death of his mother in-law as monumental loss, stressed that a great void has been left behind as Mama was a phenomenal personality who cared for everyone around her and beyond.

“We are heartbroken but surely not mourning as Mama lived a great life which epitomised the kind of life any ordinary Christian should lead. She was a very compassionate mother, loving and had a great level of faith that things will always work itself out, no matter how seemingly difficult it may seem at the time.”
In her words, the wife of the Barrister, Mrs. Kikelomo Akintokun, described her late mother as a model of celebrity who believed in human capital development and empowerment.

She added that her mother was an embodiment of love, care, spirituality and that beyond missing her, the service of the day was all about thanking God for the good life she lived.
In his remarks, the Chief Judge of Ondo State, Hon. Justice Odusola said that there was time for everything, hence the need for everyone to live a purposeful and fulfilled life, commiserated with the family members and stressed that Mama did her best to live a life worthy of commendation, while imploring her children to ensure they tow the path she trod, taking along every testimony to heart.
“Mama Esther Oyetan was full of love, generosity, compassion and a Christian; let us take solace because she has gone to a better place.”
Also the first daughter of Mama, Mrs Joke Adesomoju and her husband Mr. Akin Adesomoju who spoke on behalf of her siblings described Mama as “mother of Nations”.
During the burial talk at the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall, Bro. Jeremiah Alogo, spoke on the good virtues of Mrs. Esther Oyetan, portrayed her life as a loving one. He enjoined the family members to emulate her legacies. He assured the congregants that after death, there is hope of resurrection back to life.
