The sporting community in Ondo State and the entire Southwest region is celebrating as Dr. Henry Omoyele Babatunde, former General Manager of the Ondo State Sports Council, has been elected as the Southwest Representative of the Nigeria Aquatics Federation (NAF) in an election held today, 27th September, 2025 at Liberty Stadium, Ibadan, Oyo State,.

Dr. Babatunde is the Principal Secretary to the Chairman, Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), a seasoned sports administrator and well-respected figure in Nigeria’s sporting landscape, brings a wealth of experience, dedication, and visionary leadership to his new national role. His election is a testament to his consistent contribution to the development of sports, particularly aquatics, at both state and national levels.

Throughout his tenure at the Ondo State Sports Council, Dr. Babatunde was known for his unwavering commitment to grassroots sports development, athlete welfare, and infrastructural improvement.
