I don’t help people because I want to be Senator, I help people because I’m raised from a humble background where humility, giving, generosity reign supreme – MATO
A leading aspirant for the Ondo South Senatorial District in the forthcoming general election in 2023 under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Mr. Mathew Oye Oyerinmade fondly called MATO, has told people of the Ondo South while addressing cross section of party’s delegates, leaders and elders in his own town, Oke-Igbo that he never helped people because he wants to be Senator but because he is raised from a humble background where humility, giving & generosity reigned supreme.
He reiterated his commitment towards the yearning of his people before, during and after party’s primary. The cross section of the party’s delegates, leaders and elders from Ilaje Local Government were addressed on 20th January, 2022, that of Odigbo Local Government were done yesterday, 21st of January while that of Okitipupa Local Government were done today, 22nd of January.
While addressing, he enumerated some of his focus if elected Senator. This includes sponsoring of numerous bills that will protect the dignity of the Ondo South Senatorial District and alleviate their socio-economic worries and concerns; lobby and do everything humanly possible to make impossible possible in my Senatorial District.
“When I say I will lobby, I know that I have what it takes to lobby for my people and by the special grace of God, I am raised from a humble background where humility, giving, generosity, cheerfulness and respect for human kinds have reigned supreme, and so, these have become my watchword”.
“I must say this convincingly that the natural order of creation has fundamental requirements in leading others in the society, but if humility and modesty cannot find expression in a man, how can he be chosen to rule others? Therefore, we have to stand on a pedestal where people can see in us the ideal image of a true, responsive and reputable leaders. So, I have taken lobby as one of my priorities in order to deliver effectively and efficiently at the red chamber”.
“I will go to the floor of the Senate to advocate vehemently and speak with a loud voice, expressing the prevailing challenges of our people in Ondo South. I will be consistently committed to the oneness, unity and development of the people in Ondo South. I will institute and organize periodic stakeholders’ consultative fora to articulate a united developmental agenda of the professionals for the common good of our people. I will exhibit legislative participation for the total urban renewal of the Ondo South”.
While speaking with Coastal Renaissance news, the Head of MATO’s Media and Publicity Team, Prince Kunle Ayegbe assured the people world-class representation of his boss (MATO) and also appealed to them to keep faith with MATO as he clinches the ticket of APC in Ondo South and consequently win the general election.
