I wish God’s guidance in your elevation as Governor of Ondo State, Ilaje former supervisor, Meduoye congratulates Aiyedatiwa
A former supervisor in Ilaje Local Government area of Ondo State, Hon. Meduoye Olufemi Charles, has congratulated the newly sworn-in Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
In a congratulatory letter made available to Coastal Renaissance News, Meduoye wished Aiyedatiwa God’s guidance on his elevation from Acting Governor to Governor, saying his elevation is God’s choosing, because power belongs to Him. Meduoye however, commiserated with the Governor and people of Ondo State over the demise of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu SAN, CON.
According to Meduoye, “I believe that power belongs to God and He bestows upon whoever he chooses.
He noted that the emergence of Aiyedatiwa as Governor was unfettered fulfilment of the Nigeria’s constitution which gives way for a Deputy Governor to be sworn-in as Governor if the Governor passes away while in office. “It is a crucial hallmarks of democratic principle and practice”. Meduoye said
Meduoye then urged the new Governor, Aiyedatiwa to uphold the legacy of his late boss, Akeredolu by ensuring the welfare and security of the people of Ondo state.
“Dividends of democracy must be delivered appropriately to the people, security and protection of life and property of the citizenry must be guaranteed including the social welfare and well-being of the people.”
He finally wished Governor Aiyedatiwa the guidance of the Almighty God in the onerous task ahead.
