Ilaje born top Police Officer, AIG Ogundeji buries tomorrow as Banke Sutton says farewell in his journey to eternity
The loss of a brother and friend – AIG Goodluck Felix Ogundeji, is something that can never be recovered. You worked hard and always followed the path of honesty and generosity. No doubt, you had accomplished many good things in life which will not attract eraser in the history of Ilaje, Ondo State and Nigeria at large. I pray for your departed soul to sleep well, God has a beautiful reward for you. Banke Sutton sympathized.
Ogundeji who slept in the Lord on 30th June, 2021 will be buried on 12th November, 2021 at his residence in Lagos.
AIG FELIX GOODLUCK OGUNDEJI, FSI
Felix Goodluck Ogundeji, fsi, who retired as an Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG), Investment, Department of Logistics and Supply, Force Headquarters, Abuja, Nigeria, was born at Oke-Ipare in Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State to High Chief Robinson Omotayo Ogundeji – Samuel and Mrs. Silipana Tuluma Ogundeji – Samuel both of blessed memory. He is by origin from Ebute-Ipare, but grew up in Agerige, where his immediate family settled both in Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State. He had his primary education at St. Saviour’s Anglican Primary School, Agerige in Aheri kingdom, after which he attended Stella Maris College, Okitipupa from 1969 to 1973. After his secondary school education, he worked briefly as a Class teacher in the Local Government Authority Secondary School, Zion-Pepe, Ilaje L.G.A, Ondo State from 1975 – 1976. Thereafter, he worked with the then National Electric Power Authority from 1976 – 1978. He attended the prestigious University of Lagos where he obtained both his B.Sc and M.Sc degrees between 1978 and 1983.
He joined the Nigeria Police Force in 1984 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police. He served meritoriously in several locations and positions variously as Divisional Crime Officer (DCO), Divisional Police Officer (DPO), PMF Squadron Commander and Area Commander in several state Commands. He was at one time the Commandant PTS Ikeja and Second in-Command State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Kogi State, and as Assistant Commissioner of Police SCID, Ogun State, as well as the Commissioner of Police in-charge Force Intelligence Bureau (FIB), Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (FCIID), Abuja.
AIG Felix Goodluck Ogundeji, fsi, is a dogged and meticulous investigator, brilliant researcher, a prolific writer and a consummate Police Officer. He is happily married with children.
