Ilaje First Class Obas Commend Governor Aiyedatiwa for Unprecedented Support and Presentation of 2025 Toyota Fortuner SUVs
IGBOKODA, ONDO STATE – November 2, 2025
The First-Class Traditional Rulers in Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State have expressed deep appreciation to the Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for his remarkable support and the presentation of brand-new 2025 Toyota Fortuner SUVs to the traditional rulers in the area.
Speaking on behalf of the Ilaje Royal Fathers, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Olusegun Williams Akinyomi, the Paramount Ruler and Amapetu of Mahinland, described the gesture as a monumental and unprecedented act of respect for the traditional institution in Ondo State.
> “We are profoundly grateful to Governor Aiyedatiwa for this extraordinary demonstration of commitment to our welfare and to the dignity of our revered stools,” Oba Akinyomi stated. “The presentation of these modern Toyota Fortuner SUVs is not merely a logistical enhancement; it is a clear recognition of our vital role as custodians of culture and as the closest link between the government and the grassroots.”
The Council noted that the new vehicles, being modern and durable, will significantly enhance the traditional rulers’ mobility across the vast coastal terrain of Ilajeland. This, they said, will improve their ability to attend to community needs promptly and contribute to the maintenance of peace and security throughout the region.
The Ilaje First-Class Obas further observed that this gesture reinforces the honour and prestige of the traditional institution while reaffirming Governor Aiyedatiwa’s sincerity and commitment to inclusive governance. They commended the Governor for his consistent efforts to strengthen traditional leadership structures and for delivering on his promises through various welfare initiatives.
In conclusion, First-Class Traditional Rulers in Ilaje Local Government pledged their unwavering support for Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration and his vision for a more prosperous, united, and peaceful Ondo State. They also urged all residents of Ilajeland and Ondo State at large to continue to support the Governor in his ongoing efforts to deliver the dividends of democracy across every part of the state.
