SENIOR APOSTLE (DR.) REMILEKUN AMOS (OOA)
Remilekun Amos fondly called Omo Dafidi, was born on 4th January, 1953 to the clan of Orofin family in Atijere Community, Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State.
He attended St. Jude’s Primary School, Atijere, L.A Primary School, Obinehin and Ladi Lak Primary School, Bariga, Lagos.
He didn’t have the opportunity to further his education owing to the lack of parental guidance and assistance as he lost his father months before his birth.
He became an apprentice under Nigerian Wood Service Furniture Company, Apapa Road, Lagos. He became a professional furniture maker & worked with many professional furniture companies.
As a talented and anointed singer from his youth, he launched the Ilaje Zion Music genre into national sphere making him the toast of lots of the adherents of Zion philosophical brand of music.
He was a multiple award winning artiste & in 1995 honoured as Officer Order of Aladura (OOA) during the 70th year anniversary of the C& S Aladura churches all over the world. He also held Aladura international merit award for his immense contributions in promoting the fold. He got the title during a ceremony held at the University of Ibadan.
His albums are all instant hits since the early 80’s till his demise in year 2000.
His works include: Jewo ese re, Aye Toto, Asiko eda, Igbehin loju, Iriri aye, Oluranwo mida, Gbeje ko niyi, Kadara, Adura, Iwa eda, Onibu ore, Igbeyawo, Isegun and others.
His songs have won a lot of souls for Christ and till today remains evergreen because of his Davidic, inspirational and philosophical kind of lyrics.
His legacies were upheld by his dear son and renowned Evangelist, Lekan Remilekun Amos JP to the glory of God.
