ST. J. O. ALADE: 25TH YEARS REMEMBRANCE
Biblically proven, there is a blessing in remembering righteous people. In this regard, I honour the almighty God who sent his humbled servant to proclaim his gospel on earth from his birthday till a day like this on 16th of August 1999,
Around 9am 16th of August 1999 death took St J.O ALADE from us and the whole community Ori-Oke MOFERERE and ILAJE as a whole was set on emergency bereavement because their saviour was taken from them just like Elijah was taken from Elisha.
Yet the month of August will still always augur blessings and prosperity for us as we soberly and nostalgically commemorate every 16th of August, a fearful day one of the foremost Pillars of Faith St. J. O. ALADE (OMO-OGUN KRISTI) bided a farewell to this sinful world.
Time and space will hinder me to say much about the life and times of Baba OMO-OGUN . However, the history we have heard from our elders about the life of Baba will be partly and succinctly shared as a tribute for the remembrance of St. J. O. ALADE the founder of Ori-Oke MOFERERE and the pioneer of The Community Church of the Holy Apostles, Ori-Oke MOFERERE national Headquarters.
In the early 1940s in Ilaje land when the Apostolic Movement kicked off, one of the prominent name and an eminent member of the movement was Johnson Oke, Alade, a strong evangelist, fearless gospeller, and the only one among the band of Christian “rebels” as they were then called, who was reputed and regarded as a Prophet because of his specificity and uniqueness in handling spiritual matters.
Before his transition in August 16th, 1999, “Baami and Baaba” as we fondly call him in Ori-Oke MOFERERE was an “Akogun” among his peers that formed the Apostolic Movement with the mission of liberating and delivering Ilaje Land from the stranglehold of darkness. One of their cardinal missions was the stopping of the killing of oma ibeji (twin children) by the Oro Cult in Ilaje and their liberating struggle earned ILAJE enduring legacies of many surviving and prospering twin children and other indices of freedom and salvation.
Today August 16 was a grief day when you left us in this sinful world, infact despite that I was in juvenile age when u died I remembered I cried bitterly having seen the whole community in a pitiable condition because we lost u to the cold hand of death at exactly 9am today 16th 1999.
St Johnson ALADE was a veteran, and a braved Apostle of Christ who fought different fights of Faith to liberate so many from captivities of the devil.
It’s beautifully recorded that aside from the wives, sons and daughters of St J.O ALADE almost 90% of inhabitants in ori-oke MOFERERE from 1973 till 1999 were all victims of different illnesses whom St J.O ALADE healed through the mighty power of the most high God and these people made an unchangeable covenant to serve the good God that empowered St J.O ALADE to perform those wonders and miracles till the rest of their lives.
St J.O ALADE was a very accommodating man of God,tall, prosperous and handsomely good looking man,he successfully married eleven(11) beautiful wives out of which ten(10) of them gave birth to excellent children and grandchildren even before St J.O ALADE bided a farewell to this world in 1999.
St J.O ALADE was a special creature from the hand of the almighty, a hero and a gallant soldier of Christ, his looking was marvelous and amazing.
St J.O ALADE paired with some of his contemporaries and served his God wholeheartedly before he was led by God to establish his own ministry in a virgin land called Ori-oke MOFERERE.
Ori-oke MOFERERE shares boundary with Ori-oke Ayetitun in the west, ori-oke Ereke in the north,Oke Ipare in the East and Etikan Kingdom in the south, Ori-oke MOFERERE has been one of the best performing units under Etikan ward and this record track is ongoing politically and kingdom wise.
Some of the communities he resided and served God were, Ori-oke mogbojuri, Ori-oke iwa-mimo,Ayetoro and ori-oke Ayetitun, holistically one of the peculiarities of St J.O ALADE was that he left a legacy and blueprint record in those places mentioned and his outstanding record there can’t be annulled forever.
Baba, your children, grandchildren great grandchildren and everyone in ori-oke MOFERERE celebrate you today and we are optimistic in our faith that you’re joyfully living fine in the bossom heart of our father Abraham.
You fulfilled your destiny on earth before you departed and your legacy is ever living and progressing, though we missed you physically but spiritually you’re always there for us to battle with every obstacle and hindrance beckoning us in the journey of life.
Thank you so much our dear father (Baba)
Continue to Rest in Perfect Peace of our lord Jesus Christ till will meet to part no more!
