MSME: OLUBUNMI ADEMOSU VISITS MANUFACTURING COMPANIES IN ONDO, SAYS APC GOVERNMENT IS COMMITTED TO IMPROVING SMALL & MEDIUM ENTERPRISES CROSS THE COUNTRY
Following the recent inaugiration of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises’ Council in Ondo State, the Special Adviser to the Ondo State Governor on Public and Intergovernmental Relations and the Chairperson of MSME, Hon. (Mrs.) Olubunmi Ademosu, has expressed her profound gratitude to the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN for giving them the enabling environment to operate.
The Ondo State MSME council has been working in line with the 17 SDG goals “leaving no one behind ” with the support of the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Arakurin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu to ensure that the state is one of the best economic development base through a asustainable entrepreneurship scheme.
The Ondo State Micro Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) council is an initiative of the Federal Government of Nigeria. The MSME Clinic programme is Chairmaned by the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo.
Every state of the Federation is expected to inaugurate MSME council in order to compliment the effort of the Federal Government in making business vocation easy, affordable and profitable for a common man.
Ondo State is among the 36 states who has taken a bold step in constituting the council under the leadership of Hon. (Mrs.) Olubunmi Ademosu as the Chairperson and Mr. Abiodun as the Secretary. The council which comprises all the Federal Government Businesses Regulatory Agencies domiciled in ondo state, Civil Society Organizations, Youths, Groups, Private Investors, Business Associations such as CAC, NAFDAC, SON, SMEDAN, MAN, NASSI, FIRS, ITF, NEPC, FIIRO, CBN, BOI, BOA, NIRSAL and ODIRS etc.
The main objective of the Council is to oversee the affairs of the MSME in Ondo State, and including
1. Registration of business names.
2. Packaging and Branding of products.
3. Easy access to finance.
4. Training and certifications..
Just yesterday, 14th May, 2021, while others people were at home enjoying their holiday break, the Chairperson of the MSME in Ondo State, Hon. (Mrs.) Olubunmi Ademosu and his team were earnestly working and visited virtually all the manufacturing companies in the Ondo State Industrial Park to sensitise the manufacturers on the government plans for them and also to hear their challenges out.
In the past few years, the efforts of the council in supporting various Business Enterprises had led to the awards of excellence presented to manufacturing companies based in Ondo State – Tubi Investment international limited company in 2018 and the oustanding Male MSME Clinic participants to First Moreys Food Ventures in 2020
