Nigeria on the Path to Greatness Again, Says Prince Folagbade Emmanuel
An Ikale-born business mogul and politician, Prince Folagbade Emmanuel, has extended warm New Year greetings to Nigerians, particularly the people of Ondo South, as the year 2026 begins. He described the privilege of witnessing a new year as a testament to God’s grace upon the nation.
Prince Folagbade, a native of Osoro and a distinguished member of the royal Bajowa family, made this known in a new year release made available to Coastal Renaissance News.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart expressed strong optimism about Nigeria’s economic recovery, citing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership and economic reforms. According to him, the strategic direction and renewed economic drive introduced by the President are clear indications that Nigeria’s economy will rebound stronger in 2026.
He described President Tinubu as a timely gift to the nation, noting that his vast political experience has come at a critical period when decisive leadership is most needed for national development. Prince Folagbade urged Nigerians to exercise patience and align with the President’s economic policies, while also calling on critics of the APC-led Federal Government to assess the administration’s efforts objectively and fairly.
Turning his attention to Ondo State, Prince Folagbade called on residents to remain steadfast in their support for the APC and Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa. He emphasized the importance of unity ahead of the forthcoming senatorial election in Ondo South Senatorial District, urging the people of Ikale, Ilaje, and Ese Odo to rally behind the ruling party to prevent the seat from falling into the hands of the opposition. He confidently stated that Ondo South would retain its mandate under the APC.
Speaking on his own political aspirations, the prince of the royal Bajowa dynasty of Igbotako disclosed that he is currently engaged in extensive consultations with leaders at the district, state, and national levels. He noted that once these consultations reach a stage of broad consensus, he will formally address his constituents regarding his political plans ahead of the 2027 general elections. He stressed that no political ambition can succeed without widespread support, unity, and collective agreement.
Prince Folagbade concluded by praying for God’s guidance and blessings upon Nigeria, expressing hope that 2026 will usher in prosperity, peace, and renewed promise for all citizens.
