NTA Award: Ondo South Senatorial Aspirant, MATO demonstrates what leadership is all about, forgets about his status, serves foods, drinks to invitees at the reception ceremony
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Ondo South Senatorial candidate hopeful in the forthcoming 2023 general elections, Mr. Mathew Oye Oyerinmade fondly called MATO, has bagged Ondo State @46 Role Model of the year by NTA in partnership with Groundbreaker Resources Limited.
The event which was held today, Saturday 12th February, 2022 at International Culture and Event Centre (The Dome), Akure, Ondo State, had in attendance the Ondo State First Lady, Arabirin Betty Akeredolu accompanied by the Ondo State Executive members. Others were Ondo State Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, HRM Oba Adetoyinbo, Deji of Akure, Prof. Rasheed Ijaodola SAN, Professor of Constitutional and Electoral Law, Prof. Olatunmile Adekunle amongst others.
While speaking, Mathew Oyerinmade appreciated the wife of the Ondo State Governor, Arabirin Betty Akeredolu for giving him the special honour to attend the programme personally. He described Arabirin Akeredolu as a mother who can always mother her children.
“If a mother can mother her child, that child has no reason to look for another mother. Ondo first lady is my mother”.
In the same vein, he thanked the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and his Deputy, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa for giving Ondo State people enabling and peaceful environment to operate without any security threat. He further appreciated all the APC members, friends, families and admirers who came around to celebrate him for the award.
After the award, MATO started to serve the invitees drinks and foods at the reception. He demonstrated what leadership is about. He said, “the position of leadership is by serving the people”.
