ONDO 2020: POROYE CELEBRATING AKEREDOLU’S VICTORY AHEAD OF SATURDAY’S GUBER ELECTION, ASSURES AKEREDOLU OF 80,000 MINIMUM VOTES FROM EPP MEMBERS
The Ondo State Chairman of the Emerging Political Platform (EPP), Prince Poroye Biyi Bill, has begun celebration of Akeredolu’s victory ahead of the Ondo State Governorship polls, described Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, as the best candidate among the three major candidates in the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
Poroye while addressing some selected leaders of the EPP yesterday in Akure, the state capital of Ondo State, stressed the need for members of the platform to work assiduously for Akeredolu’s reelection. These selected leaders converged from all the 18 local government areas to rally support for Akeredolu.
Emerging Political Platform encompasses all deregistered political parties in Ondo State which had recently endorsed Governor Akeredolu’s second term bid.
In his statement, Poroye reiterated that having done a thorough analysis, Akeredolu is still the best choice as the next Governor of Ondo State and that Akeredolu does not have alternative because he does not tell lies and does not pretend.
“For our society to triumph, Politics needs someone like Akeredolu, unlike past governors, especially Dr. Mimiko, when he is killing you, he will still be hailing you. That’s what people call politics, but that’s not politics”.
“I am telling you today that Akeredolu is still the best among the contestants”.
“They said Akeredolu married an Ibo woman but I know and that it is not a sin to marry an Ibo woman. I know that Jegede does not marry a Yoruba woman”.
“They said Akeredolu’s wife is having influence on him. If you are a responsible man and a better father, and your wife does not have a say in your home, you are a dead living man”. Poroye declared.
“Akeredolu met a dead government, compared to the former Governor Olusegun Mimiko who came into government and met N38billion in the an account. And all what we could witness during Mimiko’s tenure for eight years were “cosmetic projects” and N38billion was wasted. But Akeredolu was very kind, so he was not interested in prosecuting Mimiko”.
“I have heard people saying Mimiko left money as much as N20b in the government purse but if Mimiko had as much as that, would he be owing workers salaries for 7 months? That’s what they called politics, but I say, it is not. Above all, Akeredolu does not play politics with people’s lives”.
“Within the last three years, Akeredolu has come up, generated internal fund, brought in a lot of investors and you can see that even where there is no allocation, he can still patch up somewhere.
Poroye finally charged the EPP members to keep faith with Akeredolu and vote en masse for him as he assured them of total victory ahead of the polls.
