ONDO 2024:THE FUNDAMENTALISM OF AYEDATIWA’S CANDIDACY IN APC (Part 1) BY SUCCESS TORHUKERHIJO ESQ
The current governor of Ondo State,His Excellency Hon.Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa a political titan, a shrewd businessman, and a distinguished community leader, whose foray into Ondo State politics was first noticed in the year 2015, when he joined the House Of Representatives election for the Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constitutecy. Even though the aspiration suffered some setbacks,he was prominent in the race because of the bravery and capacity he exhibited during the primaries.He came in to the race as an independent self sponsored candidate who pulled the strings to the extent that he became a serious force to contend with in the entire Southern Senatorial District.
The distinctiveness of his campaign outfit was its characteristic opulence and grandeur.
It is instructive to note that Ayedatiwa pursued his aspiration with calmness and took the results in good fate.
His resilience and commitment to the values of his political ideology and group under the lead in Lership of the past governor, His Excellency, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of blessed and living memory made the governor to nominate him to the Board of the NDDC,where he served meritoriously well.It is on record that his reign in NDDC brought relative peace to the Ilaje/ Ese-Odo creeks as he constructively engaged many of the militants in productive ventures.Ayedatiwa bought vehicles for a good number of the Niger Delta Agitators,a legacy which is still speaking for him as regards the politics of the riverine areas of the state.It is on record that his little time in NDDC was very remarkable.
During Aketi’s preparation for second term,the need arose for him to pick a new person as Deputy Governor since his arstwhile Deputy,Hon, Agboola Ajayi had already fallen apart with him.Aketi did not blink his eyes before he brought in Lucky as his Deputy owing to his unbridled loyalty, steadfastness and commitment to group ideology.
Aketi loved him with uncommon passion and the two of them had a very enviable working relationship until the devil came in through some cunning ways.
As it was with Joseph, the star was already seen in him and then came the evil machinations to get rid of him,his planned impeachment on trump up allegations of “gross misconduct”could not stand due to the intervention of the judiciary and loud public outcry.
A child of grace,God kept him through the trying period and through the intervention of His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu,the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,he was first pronounced as acting governor by the Ondo State House of Assembly and presently he is the governor of Ondo State following the death of his former boss,Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN,CON.
Ayedatiwa’ s emergence as governor of the sunshine state, apparently was a divinely instituted occurrence.
The fact is that Hon Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa has been Providentially crafted for the Alagbaka job.
Definitely,the job can not be completed under a year, So he must continue.
April is already around the corner,and the game will manifest first in Lucky wining the primary landslide and moving on to deliver during the November governorship election.
Ayedatiwa continuing beyond February 2025 is a sinequanon towards the much needed complete emancipation in Ondo State.
