ONDO APC INAUGURATES A 300-MEMBER CAMPAIGN COUNCIL, APPOINTS BIYI POROYE AS DIRECTOR OF PUBLICITY

All Progressives Congress, APC, Ondo State chapter, on Wednesday, inaugurated a 300- member campaign Council to midwife the 2023 general elections for the party’s candidates across board in the state with a view to ensuring victory for the party’s candidates.
The APC state chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, urged the council to ensure total victory for all the APC candidates ranging from Presidential, Senatorial, House of Representatives and State Assembly.
He said, “all APC candidates must win with wide margin in the forthcoming general elections”.
Adetimehin made this statement while inaugurating the campaign council, yesterday 28th December, 2022 at SITA Hall, Alagbaka, Akure, the capital city of Ondo State.
The council was strategically constituted on Senatorial, Federal Constituency and Local Government levels. The council comprises representatives of all fora existing in the party including serving and former political office holders in the state.
The APC Chairman in Ilaje Local Government and OSOPADEC Board Member, Prince Raphael Adegboye while speaking with Coastal Renaissance correspondence, applauded the decision of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN and State Party Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin for appointing Prince Biyi Poroye, Executive Director Alpha 3D Company as Director of Publicity (Ondo South). He said, “the appointment of Prince Biyi Poroye as Director of Publicity is just like putting a round peg in a round hole”.
He then reposed confidence on the ability of the quality people who were appointed into various committee from Ilaje Local Government. The likes of Engr. Steve Fadaini, Director of Youth, Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency; Barr. Yinka Orokoto, Secretary-General (South), Hon. Oyebo Aladetan, Director-General, Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency; Hon. Otito Atikase, Director-General, Ilaje Local Government, Princess Aderonke Efrubu, Women Coordinator, Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency amongst others.
PRINCE POROYE OLABIYI OLALEYE @ A GLANCE
Prince Poroye Olabiyi Olaleye, an Election Consultant par excellence, a Mass Housing Consultant and Developer.
He was the State Chairman of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State that produced Barr. Jimoh Ibrahim as the governorship candidate in 2016. Between 2017 and 2020, he was elected the State Chairman of the Mega Party of Nigeria, Ondo State.
Prince Biyi Poroye hails from Mahintedo community in Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State. After his primary and secondary education at Itebu Elero and Oni in Ogun Water Side,Ogun State respectively, he proceeded to Tai Solarin College of Education now Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State to study Political Science/CRK. For the purpose of advancement, he got admitted to the University of Ilorin, Kwara State and bagged a degree in Educational Management and later crowned it up with a Post Graduate Degree in and Environmental Management at the University of Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
In 2000, he worked briefly as Community Relations Officer to Niger Delta Developments Commission (NDDC) Board Member Representing Ondo State, Chief Olusola Oke as a Board Member representing Ondo State . He was later appointed in 2007 by the then Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Agagu as an Electoral Officer at the Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission from where he acquired full knowledge of electioneering skills. He was the Ondo State Coordinator of G18 Initiative and later became the National Coordination of the same platform in 2011.
He is graduate of the School of Disciple, Bible College and an ordained Minister of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). He is the Managing Director of Poroxon Nigeria Limited – a producer of Poroxon Unripe Plantain Flour and the current State Chairman of the Emerging Political Platform – a conglomeration of deregistered political parties in Ondo State.
