Ondo Reps Member, Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, receives accolade from constituents as he kickstarts Free Medical and Surgical Outreach in his Federal Constituency
A Member House of Representatives representing Akoko North East/Akoko North West Federal Constituency and Chairman House Committee on NDDC, Hon. (Dr.) Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has received a tremendous accolade from the constituents as kickstarted free medical and surgical outreach in his Federal Constituency yesterday.
The outreach which started in Okeagbe Akoko had over 1000 people who were attended to by a team of medical professionals including Doctors, Ophthalmologists, Pharmacists, Nurses and Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWS).
Over 1000 patients including men, women and children were attended to by the medical professionals while over hundred patients were bulked down for surgery toward the last two days of the programme.
After the patients were diagnosed, they were given drugs which will serve them for at least six months. Also, eyes glasses were given to those with eyes problems.
The programme is purposely to improve the health condition of the people in the grassroots who have little or no access to health facilities.
While speaking, Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, pledged his total commitment and determination in reaching out to his constituents in diverse ways of empowerment and development.
