Ondo South 2023: Oke-Igbo community standstill as Mathew Oyerinmade declares officially for Senate in his ward
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a leading aspirant for the Ondo Southern Senatorial District under the platform of the APC in the forthcoming 2023 general elections, Mr. Mathew Oye Oyerinmade fondly called MATO, has declared officially in his Ward, Ile-oluji-Okeigbo ward 8 yesterday, Saturday 5th February, 2022.
Oke-Igbo community, his supporters across the senatorial district and his friends arrived en masse to welcome him with different songs, trumpets, drums and cymbals.
While addressing, Mathew Oyerinmade highlighted his past involvements and financial commitments and support for the APC in the local government, senatorial district and the state. He said he was one of the pioneers and major sponsor of SLF – an advocacy group who fought for the success of the defunct ACN and victory of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu when he was picked as the governorship candidate of the then ACN.
“We fought Labour Party (LP) and the then Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko to a standstill to ensure the emergence of ACN and despite the fact that it didn’t work out as planned but we believed it was a good attempt and also a road map to today’s achievement we are enjoying as a ruling party. No doubt, everybody in the state then knew the impact of SLF in curtailing the excesses of the then Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko and Labour Party”.
He then assured the people to be responsive and answerable to them at all times and also to the party and the senatorial district even the state and beyond.
He finally commended the road Infrastructural development of the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN and appealed to the people to keep faith with him in taking Ondo State from mono economic development to multi economic dimension.
The ward chairman of Ile-oluji-Okeigbo ward 8 while speaking assured their total support for the aspirant and equally assured the people of their massive votes for him at the primary.
Some of the notable leaders who followed the aspirants were: Mr. Nelson Omoyoloye (Oil & Gas Business Guru), Prince Nomiye Adegbenro, former Chairman of Ilaje Local Government, Rt. Hon. Coker Malachi, former Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, Mr. Sunday Borire, Mr. Dobra – UNAD Alumni president, Mr. Adeyeye Atibani, Mr. Bisi Kenny Mr. Prince Dickson Okuntade, Mr. Femi Akinroyeje, leaders from all the six Local Governments of Ilaje, Ese-Odo, Okitipupa, Irele, Odigbo and Ile-oluji-Okeigbo, leaders of different groups and associations among others.
