Ondo South: We must be more committed to the APC and strengthen the party, MATO charges APC leaders, collapses structure for Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the interest of winnability

Some prominent political leaders and different support groups in Ondo South Senatorial District of Ondo State that worked for the aspiration of Mr. Mathew Oyerinmade fondly called MATO as the senatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Ondo South, have agreed to collapsed their structures in the six local government areas of Ondo South comprises of Ilaje, Ese-Odo, Irele, Okitipupa, Odigbo and Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo to ensure the party’s victory in the forthcoming 2023 general elections in the country.

MATO in a thank you visit and get-together party organized yesterday, Saturday 16th July, 2022 at De Don Event Centre in Okitipupa Local Government area of Ondo State with critical major stakeholders of the APC and some formidable groups cross the senatorial district agreed to work for all the candidates of the APC and mobilise heavily for emergence of the APC Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming presidential election.

At the meeting, all the members of the team have resolved to collapse their structures to work as a team with the party structure in line with the directive of the leader of the APC in Ondo State, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN.

Some of the APC Chieftains who spoke at the meeting including former Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government, Pastor Olusegun Aiyerin, former OSOPADEC Commissioner, Hon. Oluyide Mekuleyi, former MHA representing Ile-Oluji/ Oke-Igbo Constituency, Hon. Bimbo Fajolu, former Chairman of Ese-Odo Local Government, Hon. Timmy Sobijoh, former Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government, Chief Olayeye Ayeniyi amongst others, stressed the need for all the people to come together and work as a team. They reiterated that all the leaders and groups should work under the directive and supervision of the Ondo State Govenor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN and also align with the party structure in the state.

At the meeting, the following resolutions were reached:

1. That Mr. Mathew Oyerinmade (MATO) be commended and applauded for his outstanding and immense contribution for the development and bringing life to the APC in Ondo South Senatorial District and Ondo State at large. For instance, he must be continually appreciated for the renovation and equipment of all the six local government party secretariats in Ondo South of Ilaje, Ese-Odo, Irele, Okitipupa, Odigbo and Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo and the party State Secretariat in Akure and that he must be appreciated and encouraged for his holistic care, hospitality and right hand of fellowship to the party’s leaders and members across Ondo State.
2. That his structure he has built in the APC across the 18 local government areas of Ondo State be called MATO MANDATE GROUP.
3. That MATO MANDATE GROUP be collapsed to Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) group for the actualisation the his presidential ambition and the flagbearer of the party.
4. That MATO MANDATE GROUP shall continue to work for the interest of the APC in all elections.
5. That six local government areas which constitute Ondo South Senatorial District should consensusly appoint two persons that will serve as coordinators of MATO MANDATE GROUP in each of the six local governments.

In conclusion, the pathfinder of MATO MANDATE GROUP, Mr. Mathew Oyerinmade fondly called MATO and other notable leaders present at the meeting, reiterated their loyalty and commitment to the APC both at the state and federal levels.

They finally thanked leader of the party in Ondo State, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN for his commitment and courage of Lion in defending the southern agenda and ensured that Presidential Candidate emerged from the South West.
