Ondo State: MATO building viable structures across 18 LGs, assures followers of solid patronage

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Ondo State, Mr. Mathew Oyerinmade popularly called MATO, has commenced the establishment of his structure across the 18 local government areas of Ondo State.

It would be recalled that MATO Mandate Group (MMG) was formed in year 2022 when he came to contest for the 2023 Ondo South Senatorial seat. At the primary poll, MATO became second, lost the election to Barr. Jimoh Ibrahim, the present Senator representing Ondo South at the red chamber. The group – MATO Mandate Group is a leading group in the APC in Ondo South now spread to all the 18 local government areas of Ondo State.

Following the viability of the MMG in the southern senatorial district of Ondo State, the principal, MATO has deemed it fit to extend the tentacles of the group across the 18 local government areas of the state.

This step, according to the chairman of the group, Hon. (Dr.) Rotimi Wilson is to create a veritable platform to reach out to more people and impact their lives with Hon. Mathew Oyerinmade’s philanthropic gestures.

Addressing leaders and members of the group from the 18 local government areas during an interactive session held on Thursday , January 11th, 2023 at Royal Bird, Ijapo in Akure, Ondo State, MATO said, MMG is now a movement that will make a difference in the lives of people of the state.

According to him, plans are ongoing to roll out some programmes for the less privileged across the 18 local governments to bring succour to the masses.

MATO also stated that MMG will be the voice of the voiceless, assured that though the group has what it takes to contest the 2024 Ondo governorship election, but however stressed that the leadership of the group will come up with its plans after proper consultations.

Prince Poroye Biyi while giving his good will message, acknowledged MATO’s financial commitment to the development of the APC in Ondo South, stressing that MATO is a social force to reckon with.

In his words, Hon. Segun Odidi described MATO as humanist per excellence while Hon. Akin Akinbobola and Hon. Kelly Agboola who spoke in the same manner portrayed him as destiny builder who has built millions of destinies and brought their dreams to reality.

At the interactive session, there was unveiling and distribution of MATO Face Caps and chest Tag to all leaders and members of the group.

Some political leaders who present at the event include Mr. Nelson Omoyoloye, Rt. Hon Malachi Coker, Hon. Akin Aibunuomo, Hon Tayo Abidakun, Hon Pelemo, Surv Niran Akinniyi, Hon Charles Adeduro,, Hon kunle oyegoke, Hon dele Fagoriola, Hon. Adegbenro Nomiye, Hon. Bayo Anifowose, Hon. Bolaji Solagbade (Teejay), Hon. Bayo Fasawe, Hon. Adamson Orowole, Hon. Adejare Adeyefa, Comrade Niyi Majofodun, Hon. Ige Ebiwonjumi among others.
