Otunba Bankole Betiku has congratulated Professor Igbekele Ajibefun, former Vice Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, on his appointment as a commissioner in Ondo State.
In a statement made available to newsmen, Otunba Betiku described Professor Ajibefun as a good ambassador of Okitipupa and an illustrious son of the land with a remarkable academic and administrative track record.
“This is a round peg in a round hole. Professor Igbekele Ajibefun is a distinguished scholar, administrator, and a proud son of Okitipupa whose contributions to education and public service are widely acknowledged. I warmly congratulate him on this well-deserved appointment,” Otunba Betiku said.
He further appreciated the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for appointing Professor Ajibefun into the state executive council.
“I sincerely thank Governor Aiyedatiwa for this thoughtful and commendable decision. It is a move that reflects his commitment to excellence and merit,” he added.
Otunba Betiku wished Professor Ajibefun success in his new role and expressed confidence that he would bring his wealth of experience to bear in advancing the development of Ondo State.
