REPORT: OSOPADEC commences construction of Igbotu township road, borehole in Molutehin as Erejuwa assures more dividends of democracy, says Gov Akeredolu is committed to the development growth of the riverine areas.
The Chairman, Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC),
Elder Sam Erejuwa, has assured the people of Ilaje and Ese-Odo of the total
determination of the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN in bring dividends of democracy to the riverine areas.
Erejuwa gave this assurance on Thursday 8th and Friday 9th September in Igbotu and Molutehin respectively, while leading the Board and Management of the Commission to handover the construction of Igbotu township road in Ese-Odo and borehole in Molutehin, Ilaje Local Government areas of the state.
At the flag-off ceremony in Igbotu, Erejuwa thanked and appreciated the Governor for his special love for the people of the Niger Delta region of the State.
According to him, “the approval and release of funds by Mr. Governor for the commencement of the projects is applauded and commendable. “This, to me, has proved the total determination and commitment of Mr. Governor to develop the areas”. Erejuwa opined.
In line with the Governor’s promise of accelerated action on road infrastructural projects in the state, Erejuwa assured that the commissioning of the projects will soon be delivered.
The Paramount ruler of Apoi land, HIM, Oba (Prof.) Sunday Adejimula Amuseghan, the Kalasuwe of Apio land and Oba Adeniyi Ajayi, the Gbaluwe of Igbotu land, who hosted the guests in their goodwill messages, appreciated Mr. Governor for his special love for the people of Apoi land where his biological mother belongs. They both confirmed that Governor Akeredolu demonstrated a true son of Apoi land which reflected in the appointment of the prominent sons and daughters of Apoi into leadership positions in his government. They further applauded the road infrastructural projects of the Governor across Ondo State and also commended his courage and doggedness in securing the state.
They finally prayed for more power, strength and grace for the Governor in all his endeavours.
At Molutehin community in Ilaje, the Chairman of OSOPADEC, Elder Sam Erejuwa also flag-off construction of borehole for easy access to portable water.
Erejuwa noted that the project would provide potable water for the people of Molutehin and its environs.
According to him, the project is a great breakthrough for the portable water hardship in the community and its neighbouring communities.
The Baale of Molutehin, Chief Pius Aghorunse on behalf of the community appreciated Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for his kind gesture over the project, stressing that the project met the heart desires of the people. He promised total support of the community to Akeredolu-led government and also guaranteed security of the Contractor as well as the project.
The Chairman further visited Aiyetoro community in Ilaje to assess the devastating effects of the sea incursion on the community.
