Reps Member, Bunmi Tunji-Ojo Prays For Restoration, Prosperity In Nigeria As Muslims Celebrate Eid-El-Kabir

As Muslims in Nigeria join other faithfuls worldwide to celebrate Eid-El-Kabir, Reps member representing Akoko North East/Akoko North West Federal Constituency, Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo fondly called BTO, has assured Nigerians of the restoration of peace and a more prosperous future for all regardless of current economic and security challenges in the country. He has also celebrated Akoko North East and Akoko North West Muslims especially and extended right hand of fellowship to them in cash and kind.
The Federal lawmaker stated this today, 9th July, 2022 in a statement made available to Coastal Renaissance news.
According to the Federal lawmaker, “my message is really a prayer. The Eid-El-Kabir is a defining moment for Muslims. And one of the most important things to bear in mind is the resuscitation of hope for our dear country especially when we have an experienced politician, in person of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to succeed (God willing) President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR to continue his good work for the nation.
“Where there is dismay, I pray that hope would be restored, where there is attack and killing, I pray that there is peace and tranquility. Where there is hardship, I pray that there is prosperity and surplus .”
Bunmi Tunji-Ojo added that “there is great hope for our dear country, Nigeria and encouraged Nigerians to keep faith with the APC administration in making things better for the livelihood of mankind”.
He quoted Psalms 30:5 “For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning”.
Eid-El-Kabir is celebrated worldwide by Muslims to honour the willingness of9th July, 2022 Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son Ismail (Ishmael) as an act of obedience to Allah’s command. Before Ibrahim could sacrifice his son, however, Allah provided him with a lamb which he was supposed to kill in his son’s place because of his willingness to sacrifice his own son in the name of God. In commemoration of this intervention, animals are ritually slaughtered.
