The Secretary-General Akennehin Royal Dynasty, Omo’ba Oluwagheyinmi Omowole, has congratulated the newly appointed Acting Registrar of the Olusegun Agagu University Science and Technology, Okitipupa, Mr. Idowu Omowole.
Omo’ba Oluwagheyinmi Omowole while congratulating Idowu Omowole said, “our family is delighted that a man of rare integrity and sound academic background from Akennehin Royal Dynasty is appointed to steer the ship of registry of the university for better upliftment”.
“It is our hope and expectation that you will put your leadership skills to bear and continue to make the university a pace setter in the nation’s educational sector. We are confident that with your leadership as Acting Registrar, the university will continue to produce great men and women that will bring about a better Nigeria and also improve the world at large”.

You would recall that OAUSTECH has recently appointed Mr. Idowu Omowole as Acting Registrar of the Institution.
Mr. Idowu Omowole is an Imperial Prince of Mahin Land, hails from Ode Mahin in Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State, Nigeria, attended L.A. Primary School, Ode-Mahin (1977-1982), Mahin Community High School (1982-1984), Methodist High School, Okitipupa (1984-1987), Technology Education Centre, Lagos (1987-1988), University of Ibadan (1993-1998) & (2000-2003). Mr. Omowole holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy/Political Science (1998) and a Master of Arts in Philosophy (2003) both from the University of Ibadan in addition to the West Africa School Certificate (1988) and First School Leaving Certificate (1982).

He is a member of professional bodies: Association of Nigeria Professional Administrator (ANUPA) and Association of University Administrators (AUA) UK.
Before he joined the services of the University in 2009, the Acting Registrar had previously worked with the Federal Ministry of Labour, Federal Secretariat, Akure, Ondo State as Labour Officer (2001-2009).
Mr. Omowole served the University in various capacities and held various administrative positions since he joined the services of the University. He was Senior Assistant Registrar, Academic Affairs Office (2009-2011), Students’ Affairs Officer (2011-2016), Principal Assistant Registrar, Office of the Vice-Chancellor, (2016-2017), Principal Assistant Registrar, Academic Affairs (2017-2019), Registry Coordinator & Secretary to Council (2019-2020), Deputy Registrar, Council Affairs (2020-2021), & Secretary, OAUSTECH PG School from 2021 until his appointment.
He was a chairman, Association of Nigerian Professional Administrators (ANUPA), OAUSTECH Chapter.
Mr. Omowole, who enjoys playing football and listening to jazz music, has authored two books, namely: Saving the Labouring Child in Nigeria and Innocence _Interrupted.
His appointment as Acting Registrar of OAUSTECH took effect from 3rd April, 2023 following the resignation of the former Registrar, Mr. Ganiyu Oke Saliu, who was appointed as the Registrar of the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria.
