…as youths give him unconditional requirements to support his second term ambition
Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, member House of Representatives representing Akoko North East/Akoko North West Federal Constituency and Chairman House Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), said Ondo State youths are hungry and angry, wants them to be massively empowered, recruited and engaged.
The Federal lawmaker stated this while addressing the youths at the Ondo State Progressive Youth Stakeholders meeting held yesterday Wednesday, 12th July, 2021 at the International Culture and Event Centre, Akure, Ondo State.
The recommendation was made by the federal lawmaker as a result of the high rate of unemployed youths in Ondo State and Nigeria at large.
He said, such measure would help to experience relative peace and reduce the high level of insecurity in the state.
The federal lawmaker also acknowledged the creativity of the Ondo State youths, stressing that God has endowed them with spirit of hardworking and however advised them to always be law abiding citizens, added that they must listen to how best to demand what they want.
“When you often look at the social media these days, you will find out the creativity in the youths. I salute the Ondo State youths,” he said.
“No doubt, the youths are hungry and angry, they are showing their anger but I will appeal to you to listen to our leaders, exspecially those that are making good efforts to get them empowered or engaged. In fact, some of us as leaders are always feel your pains and God helping us, we shall continue to do more in term of empowerment, employment and engagement”. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo said.
The youths were not only humbled and impressed by the speech of the federal lawmaker but also applauded and commended his humanitarian gestures. They further gave him a standing and clapping ovation as they also gave him unconditional requirements to support his second term ambition.
