2023 Akoko North-Eas & Akoko North-West: Conventional zoning arrangement should be jettisoned while they allow the good works of Bunmi Tunji-Ojo to continue, Akoko Progressive Group implores constituents
Akoko Progressive Group (APG) has implored who-is-who in Akoko North- East and Akoko North-West Local Government areas to jettison conventional zoning arrangement and support Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, member House of Representatives representing Akoko North-East/North-West Federal Constituency.
The group also condemned the call for conventional zoning arrangement when the present representative is still performing even beyond expectations of many.
The position of the group was made known through a press release signed by the Coordinator, Mr. Abiola Adeleke, according to the group, the various call for zoning in the Federal Constituency is nothing but another idle work of a faceless group that is determined to rob the people of the Federal Constituency from the dividends of democracy which they are currently enjoying under the excellent representation of the incumbent, Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo.
The group explained that there has been no existing zoning agreement in the Federal Constituency as elections there have always been made open for anyone to contest without considering any political arrangements.
The Statement reads, “those clamouring for nonexistent zoning arrangements are nothing but political mauraders who wants to seek a cheap path to power, even when it’s against the will of the people”
“The people have unanimously endorsed the incumbent, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo who is doing a very good job, the traditional leaders in their numbers have all come out to give their blessings so the noise for zoning is just another baseless argument which must be ignored”.
