2023: Olusegun Ayerin officially declares his intention to run for House of Representatives as leaders/members give him express endorsement

We cannot afford to lose the Federal Constituency for the opposition again. Major stakeholders and who-is-who in Okitipupa and Irele Local Governments yesterday met in Ilutitun, Osoro and unanimously endorsed All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart, Pastor Olusegun Ayerin, for House of Representatives representing Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency.

They gave reasons why the former Executive Chairman should succeed the incumbent member from the opposition party, Hon. Gboluga Kengboju in 2023.

In a communiqué issued after their meeting yesterday, said they settled for the former Chairman from the array of aspirants who have indicated interest in representing the federal Constituency at the green chamber.

“There is no doubt that our Federal Constituency is dominated by the opposition party, PDP but Pastor Olusegun Ayerin is the only popular among the aspirants who can defeat the opposition party. We cannot afford to lose the Federal Constituency for the opposition again. This time around, we need to feature popular and well rooted politician like Olusegun Ayerin who can tackle the opposition because of his good antecedents in the area”.

Pastor Olusegun Ayerin has embarked on a wide consultation with various stakeholders and interest groups during which he has continued to unveil his vision for placing Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency on the path of world-class representation and party’s sustainability.

“The former Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government has proven that he is a great manager of human resources and human capital development as he has mentored and groomed political leaders that have positively impacted the Federal Constituency through the posts they have held or still holding.

“He has proven to be humanly sound to get solutions to the challenges facing humanities, especially, when he was Executive Chairman and Cabinet Commissioner in the state”.
