OSOPADEC stakeholders’ meeting: Governor Akeredolu is not only determined to change the narrative of the mandate areas but also transform the land for better developments, Sam Erejuwa assures stakeholders
The chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), Otunba Sam Erejuwa, has assured stakeholders the total determination of the Ondo State Governor, Arákùnrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to change the narrative of the mandate areas and consequently transform the land for better improvement and development.
The Chairman stated this recently at a town hall meeting organized by the Commission held at Williams Events Center, Igbokoda, Ilaje Local Government on Thursday 31st March, 2022.
In his opening remark, the Chairman firstly thanked the Almighty God for His special grace upon him and also appreciated Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for giving him the opportunity to serve. He then promised not to let him down. He appealed to the people of the mandate areas to keep faith with the Governor and exercise patience as he has determined to represent and protect the overall interest of the mandate areas.
He said, the mission of the stakeholders’ meeting is to interact with the people so that they can make their general demands and request known to the Commission in order to bring dividends of democracy to their door step.
“The conference centered on the needs for effective and efficient deliveries on the Agency’s mandate”.
At the programme, Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN was represented by his Deputy, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa. While declaring the programme open, the Deputy Governor commended the effort of Sam Erejuwa-Led Ondo State Oil Producing Area Development Commission ( OSOPADEC ), for promptly organizing stakeholders conference.
In his words, the Deputy Governor said, “this event, I believe is what I will call a NEEDS assessment event as it is meant to take comments and suggestions from stakeholders on the way the Agency will be run effectively and efficiently on its mandates” .
Aiyedatiwa further made it known that Governor Akeredolu desires has been to ensure that, public funds are spent not only in public interest but in accordance with the provisions of the laws.
Appraising the ongoing partnership between OSOPADEC and stakeholders, he said it would provide immense opportunities for value added services in the mandate areas.
He also assured the people and stakeholders of Governor Akeredolu’s commitment to value added governance and called for favourable cooperation with government and the Agency.
“The Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN as we all aware is determined to change the narrative and bring about the needed development in our Local Governments — Ilaje and Ese-Odo, the mandate areas of this Agency ” , he said .
“This can only happen when we all support this Agency by making value-driven contributions at this event going forward” , he solicited.
