2024 Guber Race: Ilaje OLI, EPP major stakeholders endorse Governor Aiyedatiwa as Omowole Oluwagheyinmi charges ward leaders to begin massive mobilisation for Aiyedatiwa
The leadership of the Ondo Liberation Initiative, (OLI) and Emerging Political Platform (EPP) in Ilaje Local Government area of Ondo State, have come together and endorsed Governor Aiyedatiwa ahead of the APC direct primary in the state.
The Emerging Political Platform, EPP is a conglomeration of all deregistered parties in Nigeria, who came together to form a formidable group. EPP is also one of the formidable groups in the All Progressives Congress, APC in Ondo State who worked assiduously for the second term victory of the late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON in 2020 governorship election in the state.
Ondo Liberation Initiative, OLI is a formidable group in the APC whose vision is to defend good governance, liberate those in political bondage, and to also raise voice for the voiceless.
The meeting, which was organized yesterday by Omo’ba Omowole Oluwagheyinmi, EPP Chairman in Ilaje Local Government who also doubles as Coordinator of the Ondo State Liberation Initiatives, OLI, Ilaje chapter.
Omo’ba Omowole while addressing the stakeholders on Monday, 4th February 2024 at Holy Shelter Zion C/S Church, Market Street, Igbokoda, stressed the need to endorse Governor Aiyedatiwa ahead of the APC direct primary in Ondo state and subsequently begin massive mobilisation for the Governor so that he can win the party’s primary handsomely.
Omo’ba Omowole while speaking acknowledged the political courage, steadfastness, doggedness, uprightness and faithfulness of the state leader of the groups, Prince Biyi Poroye who had directed all the 18 Local Government chapters of the two groups to announce His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as consensus candidate to all the members of the groups, EPP and OLI.
In his words, Omo’ba Omowole described Lucky as the Jerusalem of All, Orimisan as the Mecca of the Progressives and Aiyedatiwa as the Den of the Congress, where good governance can be felt and seen.
He finally charged the stakeholders to go back to their respective wards to begin massive mobilisation, informing them that the state leader of the groups, Prince Poroye Biyi has volunteered to sponsor and finance the mobilisation across the state.
