A Tribute to late Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu by Dolapo Fatogun

He was a beautiful soul with so much love for his people. He was a Governor that will never follow the script. He was a politician that will speak out even if the issue was against the party he represents.
He had a personality that transcends beyond your wildest imagination. He was true to a fault, he was frank even at the detriment of his political carrier, He loved life, loved music and could pass as a stand up comedian even as the No 1 Citizen of the state. He was an achiever!
A SAN, former President of the NBA, former Attorney General of Ondo State and at the same time, an active Kegite.
He was a devoted Christian who will regularly sing and dance in church and would do same to a song of Fela Kuti or Lawo an Orgagango dance group from Owo. He was Entertainment personified.
He loved his town and his local dialect. With all his education, he will speak the Owo language always. His love for the state is visible in his revolutionary investments in infrastructure. His love for life was visible till his death.
It hurts when someone dies, it hurts more when a personality like Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu passes on. My pain, is that he will neither see the completion of the job he started nor enjoy the glory of his sacrifice. But who can question God?
My sincere condolences go to his immediate family, friends, professional and political associates and thousands who loved him for who he was.
I pray the Almighty God forgives him and grant him eternal peace.
