AKOKO POLITICS UPDATE: APC Chieftain and oil and gas mogul, Engr. Michael Adeyanju constitutes a strategic committee to woo APC decampees back to the party in Akoko

Following the incessant defection rocking the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akoko land, particularly Akoko North East and Akoko North West Local Government areas of Ondo State, an Akoko-born oil and gas mogul and international business guru, Engr. Michael Adeyanju, has flew in from abroad few days ago to curtail the defection and addressed his loyalists on the urgent need to begin house-to-house campaign for Governor Aiyedatiwa.
The international business guru, while addressing, appealed to the decampees, aggrieved party members and party members in Ogbagi Akoko on last Saturday to be patient with Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as he’s making efforts to rebuild the state’s economy. He then promised to carry out massive empowerment for party members and aggrieved party members in support of Governor Aiyedatiwa-led administration.
He said, “We are calling on our party men and women to stay united. The party faithfuls who have worked so hard for this administration during primary campaigns must wait to eat the fruit of their labour. We should remain focused as one family and keep faith with Mr. Governor who is doing everything possible to deliver dividends of democracy to the masses and also working hard to move Ondo State from mono economy to multi-dimension economic strides.
“The appraisal of the Governor’s 32 weeks in office clearly shows that the Governor has made remarkable impacts in many sectors such as energy and power, education, health, agriculture, security, infrastructure among others. Every national and international engagement of the Governor since he assumed office has been an opportunity to woo local and foreign investors into the state in order to increase the living standard of the good people of Ondo State.
“It is both human and natural that issues would arise within a political family from time to time, but the ability to reconcile and move forward makes the difference and unique. The way forward for now, is not only for our decampees to come back to the APC but also for the aggrieved party members to have a change of heart and stay put in the party as the enjoy the fortune of the ruling APC from state to federal levels.
In a bid to provide a permanent solution to the incessant defection, Engr. Adeyanju has constituted a strategic committee to consult and interact with all the group leaders of decampees to woo them back to the party as he promised to convey their grievances and complaints directly to Mr. Governor.
While speaking with Coastal Renaissance News, the Chairman of the Committee, who is an illustrious son of Okeagbe land, a former Legislative Aide to National Assembly member, a grassroot mobiliser and seasoned politician, Hon. Jackson Olatunji said that the committee is also saddled with the responsibility of interacting with aggrieved party members who are said to be making moves to decamp to the PDP by this weekend.
Hon. Olatunji further stated that the Committee is mandated to interact with other prominent party leaders from Akoko land to map out strategy on how to work in synergy and deliver Akoko land handsomely for Governor Aiyedatiwa in the upcoming November 16 governorship election.
