Princess Bayo-Ilawole made this known on Thursday when she led the technical team of the Commission on an inspection tour to some ongoing projects located in Ilaje Local Government Area of the State.
The routine exercise was part of the oversight functions of the Commission, aimed at interfacing with the project contractors on site, assessing the progress of job done and also receiving feedback on their challenges and threats.
Amongst the project sites visited were the construction of the 32.725km Alape – Araromi Road, the 28.5KM Aboto – Atijere Road, the School of Maritime Transport and Logistics, Olusegun Agagu University, Ugbonla and the Aboto water treatment plant.
At the project sites, Princess Bayo- Ilawole commended the contractors for exhibiting patience and professionalism, charging them to expedite actions in ensuring the timely delivery of the projects.
According to her, one of the objectives of the Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa led-government is the completion of all ongoing projects across the State. She said the State Government have invested enormous resources on the projects and must therefore see to its completion, especially as their impacts on the lives of the people living in the mandate areas cannot be quantified.
In her words: “The impacts of these projects on our people are enormous, we have moved round and assessed the roads being constructed. We knew how these roads were before now and their current State. We thank God for answering our prayers at this time. With the support we have received from our Governor, we can identify the projects we want to accomplish and get them delivered at specific period.
“With the prompt approval of Mr. Governor, we released fund for the asphalt laying of the Alape-Araromi Road last week. With the assurance we have received from the contractor, we believe the project should be delivered and commissioned within the next 12 weeks.
“We are at the 28.5KM Aboto-Atijere Road. We understand some of the challenges of the contractor, but we are glad these challenges have finally been surmounted. We need these roads to be delivered in time for the benefits of our people. We are therefore ready to channel our resources toward its completion.
“We were also at the School of Maritime Transport and Logistics, Olusegun Agagu University, Ugbonla. The work going on there is equally massive. When completed and put into use, we believe it will enhance the knowledge of our youths and equip them with contemporary skills that would make them more responsible, self-reliant and prepared for greater opportunities”.

According to her, clean and safe water are now available and accessible across different communities including Ugbonla, Ugbo, Mahin and Igbokoda. Princess Bayo-Ilawole hinted that plans are on to improve on the quantity of water supply to cater for the domestic needs of the residents since the facilities has the capacity to produce and reticulate portable water across different axis of Ilaje LGA.
While calling on the people not to relent in their support for the current administration, the Secretary said that this would bring into reality the big dreams of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in bringing remarkable development to the mandate areas.
