An APC chieftain and Board Director Alpha 3D Company in Ondo State, Prince Poroye Biyi, has applauded the national influence of Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, Member House of Representatives representing Akoko North-East/ Akoko North-West Federal Constituency and Chairman House Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
Poroye said, Bunmi Tunji-Ojo is not only a pride of Akoko land but also Ondo State, following the caliber of personalities who attended his father-in-law’s burial yesterday, Friday 28th January, 2022 in Owo, Ondo State.
“A race must not loose an influential man like Bunmi Tunji-Ojo at the National Assembly. The people of Akoko North-East/Akoko North-West must look beyond mare criticism and embrace excellent performance of Bunmi Tunji-Ojo to represent the Federal Constituency for the second term”.
Some of the dignitaries who attended the burial ceremony and reception include Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker of the House of representatives, Senator Godswill Akpabio, Minister for Niger Delta Affairs, wife of the Ondo Dtate Governor, Arabirin Betty Akeredolu, H/E Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Ondo State Deputy Governor of Ondo State, members of the House of Representatives, members of the state House of Assembly and commissioners.
Others were the Chairman, Senate Committe on NDDC, Peter Nwaboshi; Managing Director of NDDC, Akwa Effiong, Permanent Secretary of Niger Delta Ministry, Dr. Ardo; APC Chairman in Ondo State, Engr. Ade Adetimehin; Hon. Kolade Akinjo, MHR representing Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency, Deputy Chairman House Committee on National Security and intelligence, Hon. Ade Adeogun, PDP State Chairman, Hon. Fatai Adams, Ondo Commissioner of local government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Asiwaju Adefarati Gboyega, Ondo State Commissioner of Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Hon Omolola Fagbemi, former Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Chief Ali Olanusi among other political gladiators in and outside Ondo State.
The late Engr. (Dr.) Chief Benson Akinola Otegbeye JP, whose daughter is married to Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, member House of Representatives representing Akoko North-East/ Akoko North-West Federal Constituency, was buried admidst pomp and fanfare on Friday 28th January, 2022 in his home town, Owo, Ondo State.
In his statement, Bunmi Tunji-Ojo described the late Otegbeye as a loving and accommodating father, who could do anything to make others comfortable.
The Funeral programme, which held at the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Owo attracted dignitaries and political heavyweights within and outside the State.
Poroye finally urged the leaders of both APC and PDP in Akoko NorthEast/Akoko North-West to support the second term ambition of Bunmi Tunji-Ojo and ensured his total victory in the general elections.
“When a race loses an influential man like Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, the race may suffer for such decision.
