Church attack in Owo: Mathew Oyerinmade (MATO) commiserates with Governor Akeredolu, Ondo indigenes, calls on security operatives to fish out the culprits
An APC aspirant in just concluded primary election in Ondo South Senatorial District, Mr. Mathew Oyerinmade fondly called MATO, has commiserated with the Ondo State Governor, Arákùnrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and the entire people of Ondo State over the Sunday’s killing of worshippers at a Catholic church in Owo, Ondo State and called on security operatives to fish out the culprits.
Just yesterday, Sunday 5th June, 2022, worshippers at St. Francis Catholic Church at Owa-luwa Street, Owo, Ondo State were attacked by gunmen during service where many worshipers were killed while several others were injured.
MATO while speaking with Coastal Renaissance news described the attack as devilish and a crime against God Almighty and humanity.
MATO commiserated with Governor Akeredolu, Ondo State indigenes, Catholic Church of Nigeria and Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the brutal attack.
”It is devilish to attack such a congregation of christian worshipers and innocent blood during a divine service in the vineyard of God. It was a terrible attack, first of its kind in Ondo State. It was least expected to the people of Ondo State and the entire country following the relative peace the state has been enjoying all the while through the frantic efforts of Governor Akeredolu and Ondo State Government”.
”My prayer for the victims, families, Catholic members, people of Owo, as well as the entire people of Ondo State, who are directly affected by this unfortunate incident is that God should grant them the fortitude to bear the irreversible loss”. Oyerinmade said.
He finally called on the security operatives to fish out the culprits and consequently make them to face the wrath of law.
