OWO KILLINGS: IT IS ACT OF INHUMANITY TO MAN, OSOPADEC CHAIRMAN, SAM EREJUWA CONDEMNS KILLINGS, SYMPATHISES WITH AKEREDOLU, PEOPLE OF ONDO STATE
The Chairman of Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), Otunba Sam Erejuwa, has described the yesterday’s killings in Owo as act of inhumanity to man. He also sympathised with his boss, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (who hails from Owo town) and the entire Ondo State people over the sudden attack.
The Chairman while speaking to Coastal Renaissance news, expressed total displeasure over the sudden attacks on innocent Christians of Owo indigenes who were worshipping at St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Owo Local government area of Ondo State.
In his statement, he said, “We condemn in the strongest possible terms the sudden attack,wounding and killing of innocent Christians and indigenes of Owo in Ondo State. Now, we must see reasons why we should join forces with existing efforts of our amiable Governor and stand together to condemn the attacks and take steps to check these abhorrent behaviours of terrorists, calling on security agencies to swing into action for immediate investigation and appropriate punishment of those responsible”.
“Our hearts are heavy over the sudden attack and the killings of innocent blood. Attack of any form is unacceptable in Ondo State”.
“The killing is irreversible loss to Owo kingdom and entire Ondo State. Our prayers for the victims are that God should grant them divine comfort over the unfortunate incident and also give them the hearts to carry the burden”.
He then sympathised with the people of Ondo State, especially, the Governor of Ondo State, Owo indigenes and members of St. Francis Catholic Church who were directly or indirectly involved and prayed against future occurrence of such attack and killings.
