A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in the Alimosho, Ojokoro and Ifako/Ijaiye axis of Lagos State, Dr. Oladipupo Okeyomi fondly called Carry-Go has donated a plot of land each to 36 supporters in Lagos.
Okeyomi, a chief security consultant to the Interior Minister, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, also donated various work tools worth millions of Naira to other followers, apart from offering tuition-free scholarships to children of indigent members of the APC in the locale.
Okeyomi, also a renowned mechanised farmer, made the gesture under his charity organisation-the Change Agent Foundation International (CAFI).
Speaking at the disbursement of the largesse in an elaborate ceremony in Lagos, Okeyomi, listed other work tools to be taken away by beneficiaries as 60 grinding machines, six welding machines, six standing hair dryers, six sewing machines, and 120 coolers with drinks.
He said under the CAFI, he intended to rally other well-spirited Nigerians to join him in touching the lives of the less-privileged.
He said he gave out the freebies to appreciate all his supporters who stood by him through the thick and thin of last year, in his political endeavours.
“I am not particularly doing all these because of politics but for humanity sake and as a way of showing appreciation to all who stood by me, especially in 2021.
“Again, I am from a humble background; I know what it means to be financially challenged as I had been in such situation before.
“I want to live, lifting people up and that informed the formation of the CAFI in 2012, and to the glory of God, we have been touching lives from time to time,” Okeyomi enthused.
Speaking on the occasion, a special guest and notable cleric, Prophet MKO Tibetan, commended Okeyomi for being a blessing to his generation, calling on other politicians and captains of industry to emulate him.
“What he has done for these people today are not only pleasing to the beneficiaries and their loved ones, but to God Almighty; and God will certainly replenish him in multiple fold,” the prophet declared.
