Easter celebration: MATO greets Christians, preaches Love, christlike, sacrifice for the sake of unity & progress of Ondo South and Nigeria at large
The leading Senatorial aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC for Ondo South Senatorial District, Mathew Oye Oyerinmade, widely known as MATO, has congratulated Christians all over the world on this year Easter Celebration and end of forty days and nights fasting and fortification.
According to the Okeigbo born businessman turned politician, Easter is a sacred spiritual awakening period when Christians and non-Christians alike all around the world, celebrate Jesus Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection from death on the third day; as blood sacrifice and atonement for our sins as mankind.
Oyerinmade, in his goodwill message to the Christians in Ondo State, particularly in the Southern Senatorial District on Saturday, also described Easter as the occasion for the people, irrespective of their class, ethnicity, religion and political affiliation to show agape love (unconditional love), Christ like attitudes and make selfless sacrifice to fellow human beings to achieve peace and better living conditions.
“Our Lord Jesus Christ obediently sacrificed His life for us, using His blood to cleanse our sins away, and brought peace to the world with unimaginable and agape love. He also joyfully renewed our faith in God, as our saviour and redeemer.
“This is a season of pure and unconditional love as boldly demonstrated by our Lord Jesus Christ who was beaten, crucified on the cross and died for our sake, before He resurrected to die no more.
“May the spirit of Christ resurrection awakes every dead parts of our lives; business, finance, family, faith, health, governance and relationship with people around us.
“In the spirit of Easter, it’s gladden my heart and strengthen my inner spirit that I took time, together with my Campaign Team, to meet and Rob minds with our party officers and elected councillors in all wards of the six Council areas that made up Ondo South Senatorial District; Ilaje, Irele, Ese-Odo, Okitipupa, Odigbo and Ileoluji/Okeigbo, spreading the love, good tidings and engaging in fruitful discussions on how to attract rapid developments to our Senatorial District in the next political dispensation.
“As I humbly put myself forward before you to be your able representative in the Red Chambers of the National Assembly in the forthcoming 2023 General Elections; I respectively urge our dear party delegates in the next month primary election, to cast their votes for me as APC candidate for the February 2023 National Assembly Election in Ondo South.
