ILAJE RALLY: MAMMOTH CROWD RECEIVES AKEREDOLU’S CAMPAIGN TRAIN

The Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu received a rousing welcome from residents of Ilaje local government area of Ondo state as he arrived Igbokoda, the headquarters of the local government yesterday, 18th September, 2020) for a camping rally.
The residents trooped out en masse to welcome the Governor who had to stop his convoy, come out of his car to acknowledge the people and from there walked to the campaign venue at Ilaje Grammar School field, Igbokoda.
The Governor had earlier met with the Traditional Rulers from Ilaje local government and hold an interactive session with all the community leaders before returning to the campaign ground to address the people.
While addressing the people, Governor Akeredolu said that the Port of Ondo is the most prominent project that will be achieved in his second term, noting that work is in progress to ensure the port is being actualised.
The Governor assured that the establishment of the deep sea port will open doors for the economic development not only Ondo but also Nigeria at large.
He finally canvassed the people to vote for him as the next Governor in order to actualise the vision of the deep sea port and ensure that the vision is not killed, adding that continuity is the only answer to the actualization of the sea port project.
The Governor’s running mate, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa in the same vain solicited the support of his people, emphasizing on the need for Ilajes to speak with one voice couple with their votes.
The Deputy Governorship candidate, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa is from Ilaje local government and the people from Ilaje have settled for him knowing full well that APC is the only political party in the state that picked its running mate from Ilaje local government which had never happened in the history of Ondo State.
In his joyous mood, the Managing Director of Danilux Paints, Apostle Raphael Danilola, thanked the Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, Deputy Governor designate, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, APC Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin and all the leaders in the campaign train of the Governor for a job well done and also appreciated their steadfastness and commitment to the chronological order of the party’s campaign time table.
Moreover, he appreciated all the APC members in Ilaje local government who came out en masse to welcome the Governor and his campaign team.
Danilux further stressed the need to give special thanks to the Governor by giving him massive votes in Ilaje for picking an Ilaje son as his running mate, describing it as an unprecedentrd history.
He finally applauded the Governor for doing what no man has ever done for Ilaje local government in the history of Ondo State.
