Illegality: Former OSOPADEC Chairman, Gbenga Edema flouted Governor Akeredolu’s order, refuses to handover government properties (vehicles, office files, security officers, driver etc)
It’s regrettable that former appointee of the government could disrespect order of the government and office of the Governor by refusing to accord a due respect to a constituted authority.This does not portray a good image for the office of the Governor.
Coastal Renaissance reliably gathered that Gbenga Edema is still parading himself as the Chairman of OSOPADEC which is already generating uneasiness and commotion among workers and people of oil producing areas.
It was also gathered that Gbenga Edema was in OSOPADEC yesterday, 21st April, 2021 to recommission the 16 Toyota Hilux vehicles refurbished by Logical Ideas Company after the OSOPADEC Secretary, Dr. Victor Koledoye had earlier commissioned the vehicles. In order words, the vehicles were commissioned by two different people (Firstly by Dr. Victor Koledoye and later by Gbenga Edema). Coastal Renaissance witnessed the event.
Government may have to redirect its order to avoid the unexpected and unnecessary controversy at the Commission
