MAHIN/AHERI/ETIKAN YOUTH CONGRESS ELECTS NEW EXCOs, AS FEMI WILLIAMS EMERGES CHAIRMAN
Mahin/Aheri/Etikan youth congress in Ilaje Local Government area of Ondo State, has elected new executive members through a free, fair and peaceful election.
Comrade Femi Williams from Akata in Aheri ward was elected Chairman of the congress.
The Chairman, Comrade Femi Williams scored 18 votes to defeat his major opponent, Comrade Ebine Omosaye who scored 10 votes. Other opponents were Comrade Okunomo Henry who scored 6 votes and Comrade Omosegbe Adesoji who scored 3 votes.
In the election, all the thirty seven (37) delegates were full on ground and participatee in the election.
The election was held at Senator Ehinlawo’s guest house, opposite Igbokoda police station, Igbokoda, Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State, on Saturday 24th April, 2021.
The Electoral Committee Chairman, Comrade Sola Ademuwagun, informed Coastal Renaissance news that the election was free, fair and peaceful as aspirants and delegates conducted themselves orderly throughout the election processes because the election was properly monitored and supervised by security operatives.
Comrade Ademuwagun explained that before the election, forms were bought and aspirants were thoroughly screened and that the aspirants both the winners and losers embraced themselves cordially after the election.
Comrade Ademuwagun after he had declared the newly elected executives, charged them to work diligently in line with the congress’s directories and further charged them on the need to carry every member along to achieve more positive results.
The Electoral Chairman, Comrade Sola Ademuwagun in his word, expressed gratitude to Almighty God for the success of the election. According to him, “I want to appreciate all the members of the congress and delegates for the success of today’s election. Special appreciation goes to all security operatives in Ilaje Local Government for thier timely intervention in making the exercise a successful one. The efforts of the security operatives from Okitipupa Area Commander are highly commendable”.
“I want to sincerely appreciate my committee members, BoT members and the outgoing executives for their cooperation and support by giving me the enabling environment to conduct free and fair election. No doubt, all the processes of the election were full of fairness, equity and justice”.
“Final appreciation goes to all contestants for accepting the pronouncement of the election results in good faith”. Sola Ademuwagun opined.
