IMPEACHMENT PLOT: ONDO CHIEF JUDGE IS UNTAINTED SUPERSTAR, AN ATTEMPT TO SUSPEND HIM ILLEGALLY WILL SET ON ONDO STATE ON FIRE, GROUP- SAVE ONDO STATE WARNS CABALS
*PRESS STATEMENT.*
We have reliable information that a few House of Assembly members acting with the Surport of some desperate cabinet members loyal to Betty Akeredolu who apparently has turned her self into the Acting Governor of Ondo State by acting as intermediary between her ailing husband and the state House of Assembly/Executive Council have hatched a plot to suspend the Chief Judge of Ondo State for his refusal to support the illegitimate impeachment proceedings against the embattled Deputy Governor of Ondo State His Excellency
Lucky Ayedatiwa.
This devious plan is meant to replace the Chief Judge (CJ) with a Judge that they believe can manipulate to enhance their unconstitutional impeachment plot.
Let it be on record that the Save Ondo State (SOS) group is by this press Statement sending a clear warning to this unscrupulous politicians to desist forthwith from this plot and any other plot for that matter as this is capable of setting the entire State on Fire.
The tension in Ondo right now is capable of ingniting a conflagration of monumental proposions that may render the August 16,1983 imbroglio a child’s play.
Those who refused to learn from history often make the same mistakes that may eventually consume them.
Since 7th of June,2023, no one in Ondo State has seen or heard from Governor Akeredolu; the State Executive Council meetings have also not been held for more than three months. At the National level neither has she been represented at the National Economic Council meetings for the same period.
The solution to this apparent leadership vacuum cannot be to impeach the only person constitutionally competent to fill the void
We call on all well-meaning Leaders and Stakeholders to caution these rapacious politicians to save our dear State from an impending but avoidable anarchy.
“A word is enough for the wise”
