Measures are in place currently in the ancient town of Itebu-Kunmi in Ilaje Local Government area of Ondo State, Nigeria, as the Arapanata of Itebu-Kunmi, HRM Oba Prof. Aderibigbe Olomola, Ukuhinmi I, and his illustrious wife, HRH Olori Oluyemisi Olomola conclude plans to celebrate the one-year coronation anniversary of the renowned monarch.

The coronation anniversary celebration is scheduled for Saturday, 16th December 2023 at the Royal Place, Itebu-Kunmi, commencing at 10.00am prompt.
You would recall that on 16th December, 2022, the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, CON, ably represented by the then Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Akogun Akinwumi Sowore presented the Instrument of Appointment and Staff of Office to Oba Prof. Olomola in a magnificent, memorable ceremony with eminent personalities from far and wide.
Coastal Renaissance News gathered that this forthcoming anniversary ceremony will primarily feature the following programmes:
1. 13th December, 2023 – commencement of ancestral cleansing and blessing of the land by the Elêrò Masquerade. This kind of traditional prayer is prescribed as invocation for peace, progress and prosperity in our Kingdom, our state and our country.
2. 16th December, 2023;
(a). Flag Off of the Itebu-Kunmi Oil Palm Community Project. This is an innovative endeavour to drive sustainable development in the community. On this day, officials of the Ondo State Government, Traditional Rulers, Investors, Political and Community Leaders and illustrious sons and daughters of Itebu-Kunmi will attend the flag off ceremony.
(b). Anniversary Party.
This is a social event to create opportunities for exchange of development ideas and the promotion of peace and unity.
(c). Decoration and Certification of Pioneer Chiefs
3. 17th December, 2023 – Thanksgiving Service at St. Luke’s Anglican Church Itebu-Kunmi
The anniversary will no doubt be yet another impressive event which will feature eminent Nigerians from far and near.
