Insecurity: Ondo Deputy Governor, Aiyedatiwa commends Governor Akeredolu’s succour in providing proper security on coastlines of Ondo State
The Ondo State Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has commended the security measure put in place by the Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in securing coastlines and waterways in Ilaje and Ese-Odo Local Governments in order to combat insecurity in the state.
The Deputy Governor made this commendation in his Alagbaka office recently while receiving the Publisher of Coastal Renaissance news, Comrade Taiwo Ilesanmi Gbamila who was accompany by Comrade Niyi Majofodun to pay him a courtesy visit.
He said, the security of the state especially the coastlines, is paramount to the Governor which informed his frantic effort in engaging the services of the ex-militants to secure the pipeline and waterways in the state.
The Deputy Governor declared that Akeredolu-led administration is committed to protecting lives and properties of the citizenry and also to turn the state to industrial hub of the country with the execution of massive infrastructural projects, stressing that the efforts are targeting at securing great future for the state.
He further enumerated some achievements of the Governor and reposed confidence on the Governor to do exploits.
“We are committed, irrevocably, to setting the State on the path of industrial development and economic growth. We are not interested in cosmetic projects that is not sustainable”.
“We are confident that posterity will read about the achievements of Governor Akeredolu and feel proud of his antecedents. Our victory at the Supreme Tribunal confirmed the love and trust we enjoy from the people. The Governor cannot afford to depart from the good path he has chosen. He shall remain talk and do Governor of our sunshine state”. The Deputy Governor said.
“Considering the intensity of the activities of unscrupulous elements promoting insecurity in the state and its desire to attract and retain foreign investors in the state, it is important for the Governor and government of Ondo State to adopt a more serious approach to tackling the challenge beyond the efforts made by the federal government.
He noted that the actualisation of Ondo Port will give employment opportunities to many Ondo State indigenes and encourage local and International investors to come into the state to invest.
He thanked the talk and do Governor for his infrastructural road projects across the state. He finally appreciated the Governor for his uncontrollable passion for opening up the Coastal areas by expanding the economy from mono- cultural nature to multi-dimensional status, noting that the economy of Ondo State cannot get to its crescendo unless the state is developed industrially.
