MMG Convener, Mathew Oyerinmade Hosts Group’s Leaders, Coordinators To A Luncheon
_…calls for massive mobilisation of members as group sets to declare support for the best governorship aspirant in Ondo_
The MATO MANDATE GROUP (MMG), has started mass Mobilisation of members across the 203 wards of Ondo State towards the full support of the activities of her preferred Governorship aspirant, which will be unveiled very soon.
The Convener of the group, Hon Mathew Oyerinmade (MATO) while hosting the Leaders and LG Coordinators of the group on Thursday 21st March, 2024 at City Center hotel, Obaile, Akure, Ondo State, expressed gratitude to the members for their heavy mobilisation by making MMG a vibrant political movement under the auspices of All Progressive Congress (APC). He also commended their steadfastness and dedication towards the growth of the MMG, APC and Ondo State in general, promised to provide the needed resources for the growth and progress of the group.
While speaking at the interactive session, charged the leaders and 18 local government coordinators to begin massive mobilisation of members across the 203 wards in the state because in a short while the group will throw it’s weight behind one of the aspirants jostling for the Governorship seat of the state in the forthcoming primary election of the party that will take place in April 2024.
At the meeting, the selection committee that was put in place at the last Central working Committee of the group requested for additional one week to move round the state so as to get preponderance of opinions that will help in shaping the decision of the group towards the endorsement of a credible Governorship aspirant under the platform of APC and this request was granted as they were directed to submit their report in the next one week so that the group can select a date for the official endorsement of the aspirant at a grand event at Akure latest by the first week of April 2024.
Also speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of the group, Hon(Dr.) Rotimi Wilson and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Surveyor Niran Akinniyi, lauded Leaders and LG Coordinators of the group for the yeoman’s job they have been doing in terms of Mobilisation of members to the group and further encourage them to continue in that stead as MMG is now a political movement in the State that will not leave any stone unturned to ensure that the preferred aspirant of the group will emerge victorious at the April primary election and subsequently at the Gubernatorial election of the state schedule to take place later in the year.
