ONDO 2024: THE FUNDAMENTALISM OF AYEDATIWA’S CANDIDACY IN APC (PART 2) BY SUCCESS TORHUĶERHIJO ESQ
Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa, the number one citizen of Ondo State has no doubt thrown critics and cynics into a state of dilemma as he continues to dole out dividends of democracy to the people of the state in such a multidimensional trajectory that the deaf can hear and the blind can see.It is apparent that there is a new order in the sunshine state.
It is on record that within a few days of assumption of office of this naturally endowed and providentially emergent leader in the sunshine state, he called a meeting of critical stake holders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) with minimum of 40 party leaders from each of the 18 local government areas of the state.At the end of the meeting, each attendee smiled home with one hundred thousand naira. The ingeniousness of this move still beats the imagination of a one time highly disillusioned and seriously disconnected APC members.This was indeed a rare feat which only gave sweet reminiscences of the good days of the Iroko Revolution under Dr. Olusegun Mimiko.
It is also on record that the hitherto neglected pensioners of the state work force got a reprieve when the people’s governor doled out N1.2 Billion to settle some of their outstandings. Workers in the state owned tertiary institutions who have been biting their fingers for a very long time now have their payment issues addressed. OSOPADEC workers celebrate by the day, as substantial part of the money due to the commission from the 13% derivation fund is being released thus changing OSOPADEC from its erstwhile graveyard nature to a Mecca of sorts with a beehive of activities all the time.The staff are happy and the management now go on to carry out their duties without much ado.
I am frankly very proud of this emancipator because it is crystal clear that His Excellency, Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa is on a divine assignment to cause the sun to shine again in Ondo State as he goes on the voyage of bringing socioeconomic prosperity to Ondo State. He must therefore be given the opportunity to serve beyond 2025, and this underscores the sacrosanctity of the APC ticket to this anointed man of God for the helmsman job.
