ONDO GUBER ELECTION: IRELE TOP LEADERS DEPLOY WINNABLE STRATEGY, BEGIN SENSITISATION FOR AIYEDATIWA’S VICTORY
Following the upcoming November 16 governorship election in Ondo State, the Honourable Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning in Ondo State, Pastor Emmanuel lgbasan, has hosted all the top leaders of All Progressives Congress, APC in Irele Local government.
The meeting, which was purposely to unite all the top leaders of the APC in Irele local government, was held on Saturday, 3rd August, 2024 at DEJAVU Hotel, Alagbaka, Akure, Ondo State.
The Commissioner, while giving his opening remarks, called for unity among leaders in Irele local government and stressed on the need to embark on massive mobilisation to ensure maximum victory for Governor Aiyedatiwa in the forthcoming November 16 governorship election.
He emphasised on the unity and peace of party members, urging all top leaders to close ranks for the progress of the party while urging them to focus on massive mobilisation of the electorates from the unit to ward levels.
While responding, Senator Yele Omogunwa acknowledged the leadership sagacity of Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan, while describing him as a progressive to the core, he stressed that his virtues have earned him respect and admiration both in Irele local government and Ondo State in general.
He said, “Pastor Igbasan’s long and distinguished career in politics has been characterized by integrity, dedication, commitment and a passion for nation-building.
“As we reflect on his remarkable journey, it is evident that his leadership style serves as a beacon of hope for aspiring politicians in Ondo State, Nigeria and across the globe.
“Pastor Igbasan’s years of experience in politics and governance have equipped him with a deep understanding of the complexities of our society. His wisdom and vision have guided him in making crucial decisions that have shaped the course of the state’s history.
In the challenging times of the APC in Irele Local government, Pastor Igbasan’s advocacy for unity, oneness and good governance is applauded and admirable, especially, his contributions to the betterment of Irele kingdom cannot be overstated. He is a true father of the Nation whose legacy will continue to inspire us for generations to come.
“Indeed, Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan is capable of leading Irele leaders and we are adopting him as the political leader of Irele Local Government who has authority to convene meetings to discuss the progress of the party and I want to implore other leaders to give him maximum support so that Irele local government can achieve the best and highest result for Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
In his words, Barr. Remi Olatubora SAN, emphasised on the importance and necessity of the leaders’ unity within the APC, noting that any party divides against herself can never stand, urging all the leaders to rally around Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan to ensure maximum victory for Governor Aiyedatiwa comes November 16 governorship election in the State.
The APC Chairman in Irele local government, Chief Z.A. Omoge, expressed gratitude to all leaders for their unalloyed support for Governor Aiyedatiwa in the last APC Primary election, urging them to do more for him in the forthcoming November 16 election.
He then appreciated Pastor Igbasan for maintaining a high standard of ethics and transparency in his actions by setting a positive example for others to emulate.
The State APC Women Leader, Mrs. Mojisola Lijoka, emphasized on grassroot mobilisation, which she described as a secret of election’s victory.
Hon. Ali Olaniran and Hon. Jide Akinfe Chairmen, Transition Committee Transition Committee, lrele Local Government and Ikale East LCDA respectively, on behalf of their members, expressed gratitude to all the party’s leaders for giving them the opportunity to serve, pledged their loyalty and heavy mobilisation for Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to ensure his victory.
