Owo massacre: NDSS Marine Head of Operations, Job Omotuwa commiserates with Governor Akeredolu, Owo indigenes, promises to join force with other state machineries in fishing out the perpetrators
The National Head of Marine Operations, National Defence Security Surveillance (NDSS), Chief Job Omotuwa, has commiserated with Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN and the entire people of Owo over the recent attack and killings of innocent people of Owo kingdom by unknown gunmen at St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo on last Sunday where over thirty lives were brutally terminated.
In a statement made available to Coastal Renaissance news today, Omotuwa assured that the coast line of Ondo State has been secured through the effort of the NDDS, stressing that the culprits must be put to book.
“The perpetrators of this heinous act will not go unpunished. Whatever might be their motivations, attack and killing of any kind will not be allowed and unaccepted in Ondo State even in Yoruba land”.
“It is obvious to all and sundry that Ondo State is the most peaceful state in Nigeria through the frantic effort of Governor Akeredolu. So, any attempt of the bandits to jeopardise the effort of Mr. Governor, will not be tolerated. Any cynical attempt of the bandits to provoke ‘religious war’ or ‘regional war’ would be brutally resisted”.
“Definitely, the criminals including their sponsors will be fished out and punished unreservedly”.
“I want to use this medium to call on Ondo State Governor, Arákùnrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, to explore internal mechanisms in collaboration with our conventional security agents in fishing out the perpetrators and fighting insecurity in state”.
“I sympathize with the people of Owo town, Ondo State and Nigerians at large over the Owo attack and killings.”
“I pray that may the Almighty God grant the deceased eternal rest and as well give the families of the victims the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”. Job Omotuwa prayed.
